As a Stormwing, if a mortal nearby is experiencing fear, sorrow, anger etc, Hisako can ambiently consume it and is strengthened. In canon other Immortals and also gods are excluded, but what "immortal" and "god" means in this context is distinct, and it's not clear if they only feed on humans or if animals count too. Let's skirt that issue and just go case by case! Do you want your character's suffering perceived and fed upon?

Hisako can't read minds, but this can give her a bit of insight into the person, what their character is like and what they're going through - it's very different to jumpscare someone confident and someone flinchy. There are no effects one way or another on the person experiencing the suffering, she's not making it better or worse. Canonically people can't even tell it's happening but if you want your character to pick up on her presence, I'm down with that.

It's said that Stormwings "drink" fear etc so might as well get fun with it. If you wanna suggest any synesthetic aspects like flavor or texture, go right ahead! Does what a character feels come with a toothsome teriyaki tang? Are there topnotes of damp earth and peppercorn? Is it like picking blackberries and getting scratched by the thorns?

And if you'd prefer she got little to nothing from your character, whether that's some property inherent to them, psychic shields, or even if they're a perfectly ordinary human and you just don't want it, please tell me.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: Mei is little different from other mortals in her world. Yes, she's eligible.
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: Mei keeps a tight cap on acting on any emotions, but they roil under the surface. She also trends much more towards "fight", where she doesn't "freeze" or "fawn".
TASTING NOTES: like biting into a block of pig iron-- filling, but the texture is blocky and viscous, and the taste is like getting a bunch of brass or copper on your tongue... a feeling like it might just break your teeth if you bite too hard.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: Yep!
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: Usually pretty confident, a lot of deep trauma but that doesn't seem to affect him day to day.
TASTING NOTES: Probably somewhat aged, like a fine wine - and yet somehow incomplete, from a flavor perspective. Somehow also tastes like what a moonlit night smells like.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: Very much yes!
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: Prickly, but surprisingly insightful. Also prone to violence.
TASTING NOTES: Prickly, like eating something you're allergic to. Surprisingly bold flavor, despite its initial hesitant flavor.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: Probably. He's called a demigod in setting but he's not actually divine just very well designed.
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: Curze is hanging onto his sanity through sheer willpower alone. He lives and breathes existential despair, the unfortunate side effect of knowing what the future holds and being sure none of it can be changed. His life revolves around order and law, and he knows in the end he'll throw both out and everything he wants is thus meaningless. He too feeds on fear in a way, and takes a certain unspoken delight in causing it. Presumably it's not literal. Probably. He's not a stormwing. ... He'd be happier as a stormwing.
TASTING NOTES: Extremely tasty, assuming she likes the flavor of crippling despair and madness. He is an endless wellspring of both, a delicious chocolate covered raspberry of misery and pain.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: Illarion is undead, so I'm gonna do a caveated "yes" -- it's possible but it's like trying to drink through a half-blocked Capri Sun straw.

... Unless he's in his human shapeshift, which is 100% alive and baseline. DRINK UP ME STORMWINGS YO HO.
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: Deeply, deeply traumatized by the last decade of his life, especially the undeath bits. Unaware that he's in a lot of serious emotional turmoil all the time (when not being human) -- the person he was hates the person he's become and he is not coping well with having been a mindless killing/necromancy machine.

While human he is just emotionally suffering all the time and struggling to remain functional while alternating being depressed and furious.
TASTING NOTES: While undead: Chewily earthy and spiritually umami-rich, like a very aged prosciutto. Has a completely indescribable flavor of eldritch corruption.

While human: Ditch the eldritch corruption and amp up the flavor several notches, with a glaze over hot pepper over all of it.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: Primarchs are strange creatures, half flesh and half-warp. For the sake of fun, let's say yes!
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: Roboute is steeped of old misery and grief, and wracked with chronic pain. He also suffers from the effects of a spiritual poison, which he has to 'filter' out a few times a week -- like a soul dialysis. The amount of physical pain that he's in increases if he hasn't had done this in a while.
TASTING NOTES: The aforementioned poisoning was inflicted by a follower of the god of excess and addiction. Maybe this has an effect on Hisako? Like fugu sushi, (thank you, Rune, for the suggestion!) with a pleasant tingle and numbness to it. A dangerous delicacy.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: Yes of course. Delicious Primarch sized angst!
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: Like Curze. Sanguinius has a 'gift' of foresight, only in much smaller doses. (He sees his own death and he knows it will be...really bad. So a lot of his cheerfulness is trying to get as much non-misery happening while he can.
He's deeply guilty and troubled by something that has happened to his Legion--they suffer from a curse that can only be traced to his geneseed, the Red Thirst, which causes them to fall into a bloodthirsty berserker rage, from which some never recover. He knows that if his father finds out, his entire Legion could be, well, purged. So he's got a lot of guilt, because he is the proximal cause to all of that, as well as guilt and shame about having to hide it.
TASTING NOTES: DELICIOUS guilt. Probably tastes like those fancy chocolate oranges.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: He's a ghost but a human one so WHY NOT. Hell, that might make it easier in some way because of how emotional states shape ghosts. So she's not getting more or less out of him than if he were human, but something about the flavor is clearer, and easier to tap.
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: What comes through is bright confidence shot through with a buried anger, like a guard dog under a grin. Beneath that is fear: that the anger makes him a bad person, that he'll lose control or scare people if he ever lets it show.
TASTING NOTES: Pudina on the front of the tongue; fresh and minty with a citrus edge, clean and cooling; overlaid with comfort: fried dough, warm tea, cardamom, and a low chili heat. Familiar and soothing at first, then a quiet, spicy kick.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: Probably not; Kai is immortal and also is capable of feeding off of life and that feels similiar-ish, and demons can't eat each other. XD BUT should he be made human or otherwise Not A Demon in a Story, go for it!
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: He has a very grumpy exterior, but that's mostly because he's Tired. When he gets angry, it's usually the kind of anger that burns bright and fast, rather than lingering. There is a more or less constant undercurrent of grief to him as well.
TASTING NOTES: Think vaguely middle-eastern spices; well seasoned, perhaps with a bit of forward 'hot' spice but not too much of it.

CAN STORMWINGS DRINK YOUR SUFFERING: Sure!
INSIGHTS OR TENDENCIES: Eliza's mostly emotionally stable, but there's a subtle fear beneath everything of this turning into another murdergame, especially with how mysterious the Librarians are. Honestly as she starts bonding more with people here she'll also start developing a fear of losing said people.
TASTING NOTES: Spicy, in a way where it's bland when you first try it, but the heat slowly ratchets up in your mouth.
